Abyssal/Emergent

The dark piece represents the deep "abyss," while the green piece represents life "emerging." The use of steel introduces a sense of strength and resilience which reflects the protective function of scales on a reptile. In the second composition, I used utilized glass and metal materials to establish a darker, and more intense atmosphere. The strength and bold presence of the piece is conveyed through the use of chrome metals, while the inclusion of glass introduces a contrasting delicacy and transparency. The combination between materials creates a dynamic tension, balancing robustness with fragility.
